What We Are All About

The mission of Many Turtles Learning Collective is to foster both individual and community well-being, connection to agrarian lifeways, and care for the earth.  We do all these by sharing skills and providing experiential learning opportunities.

We formed in 2025 as a group of Common Ground Ecovillage members devoted to improving and expanding educational offerings for all who seek greater well-being, community growth, mutual-aid organizing, and nature connection. By hosting and facilitating classes, workshops, skill shares, retreats, internships, and learning cohorts, we hope to hold space for a flourishing experiential education hub to grow. We are also launching our new initiative to create the physical spaces on the land to help this growth. We’re all on this learning journey together, remembering and strengthening ways to serve life and a regenerative future.  We invite you to join the Many Turtles Tending the Turning!

Why our name?

– We are turtles in the ways in which turtles are close to the ground and slow but steady.  They also nest and produce many many eggs.  Not all hatch, not all succeed, but some do and they, in turn, increase turtling in the world! We will get to the change we want!

– We are many:  The world is turning and we need “the many” to do the work of restoration and regeneration.

– We are learning: The good news is that many people DO want to be healthier, to be closer to land, and to seek ways to grow communication and community bonds.  Many of us yearn for a better way and are willing to learn, share, and grow together to achieve these goals.
